The exhibition will be comprised of three large sections that are dedicated to past, present and future. Stories (1) showcases a journey through the beautiful architectural legacy produced by the needs for ‘road architecture’ in post-war Italy. Frames (2) is a photographic journey across Italy’s current energy and infrastructural landscape through the eyes of three top-notch photographers — Paolo Pellegrin, Alessandro Cimmino and Paola Di Bello. Visions (3) explores both new architectural ideas and the most interesting research in the field of spaces and grids linked to the distribution of the energy for movement and for all other tasks. Seven international offices have been invited to investigate the influence that new scenarios of energy distribution will exercise on the city and spaces of human inhabitation.
