BOSNIA: (Re)collecting Mostar

BOSNIA: (Re)collecting Mostar

(Re)collecting Mostar is part of a greater attempt by Abart of using art to move social boundaries. Mostar is a divided city, lacking general cultural activities. The project intends to access public memory through raising awareness about public space as place for discussion and civic action. (Re)collecting Mostar consists of four main phases: Artistic mapping of public spaces, collecting data on public memory, assembling, archiving and displaying material collected and produced, in the process of which public spaces will be re-interpreted to bridge communal divides.
