VOLUME + Nieuwe Instittuut + NUDUS present STRESS RELIEF: an installation that was one of the highlights of the Urbanism and Architecture Biennale in Shenzhen earlier this year, now comes to Rotterdam to be part of Rotterdam Architectuur Maand! The installation comprises of a custom built boxing ring that showcases punching bags designs from acclaimed Dutch and Chinese architects including MAD, UNS, and Makking + Bey. On Friday June 27 VOLUME and Nieuwe Instituut will host an evening of boxing combined with the Rotterdam launch of its latest issue VOLUME 69: the companion to STRESS MANANGEMENT. Stress Management looks at architecture’s critical role in stress management in built structures, stress in the design profession and ecological stress of the planet.
